A master's student of ”Nicolae Testemitanu” University won the first place at the international championship ophthalmologists and optometrists

Anna Bulgac, first-year Master's student at Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy from the Republic of Moldova, clinical optometry specialty, won the first place at ZOOM – the International Championship of Ophthalmologists and Optometrists from the East and South-East Europe region.

The contest was held in two stages, the first being organized at the national level on June 17, 2022. The representative of our university competed with 8 other participants, being the one who qualified for the final.

The 2nd stage of the contest took place in the city of Budapest, Hungary, and was attended by more than 20 specialists in ophthalmology and optometry from more than 12 European countries – winners of the stages organized at national level. Anna Bulgac became the winner of the championship, returning to the country with ”The best Zeiss optics professional in Europe” title. 

The Master's student has mentioned that this award is an honor, but also a great responsibility: ”The experience gained in this competition opens new doors for me in my development as a specialist, helping me to reach even greater heights”.
